Planned maintenance beats emergency repairs
Most commercial building problems we get called to, blocked gutters overflowing down brickwork, moss-choked roofs, slippery entrances, green algae across render, didn't appear overnight. They built up quietly for a year or two until they became a leak, a slip hazard or a complaint. An annual maintenance package stops that cycle: we attend on a schedule, keep the building exterior clean and clear, and flag small issues before they become expensive ones.
What a typical package includes
Every package is built around your building after a free site survey, but most cover a mix of:
- Gutter clearing and inspection: scheduled clears so downpipes never block and overflow in the first place
- Roof checks and moss treatment: visual inspection, moss and debris removal, biocide where needed
- Render, cladding and brickwork cleaning: keeping the face of the building presentable year-round
- Ground-level pressure washing: entrances, walkways, loading areas and car park edges kept clean and slip-free
- Fascia, soffit and signage cleaning: the details visitors and customers actually notice
- High-access work: cherry picker access included for awkward roofs and upper storeys, no scaffolding needed
How the schedule works
Most sites suit one or two planned visits a year, typically an autumn visit before winter weather sets in, and a spring visit to clear what winter left behind. Higher-risk sites (heavy tree cover, flat roofs, food or customer-facing premises) may suit quarterly visits. You get a fixed visit schedule agreed in advance, so there's nothing to remember and nothing to chase.
Winter protection
Winter is when neglected exteriors cost money. Blocked gutters overflow and saturate walls, standing water freezes into slip hazards on walkways, and moss holds moisture against roof tiles through freeze-thaw cycles. An autumn maintenance visit clears gutters, checks roofs and cleans walkways before the cold arrives, the single most effective visit of the year for avoiding leaks, floods and ice-related incidents.
Who we work with
Offices, retail units, industrial and warehouse premises, schools and nurseries, care settings, letting agents, landlords and property managers across Teesside. We carry full public liability insurance, our operators are MEWP-qualified, and we can provide risk assessments and method statements for your compliance file on request.
One point of contact, no chasing contractors
Because we cover roofs, gutters, walls, ground surfaces and high-access work ourselves, one package replaces the usual juggle of window cleaners, gutter firms and pressure washers. You deal with us directly, the same team every time, on a schedule you helped set. If something urgent comes up between visits, contract customers get priority callout.
What it costs
Packages are priced per site after a free survey, based on the building size, the services included and the visit frequency, then quoted as a fixed annual figure so you can budget around it. No surprises, no per-visit haggling. Book a free site survey through the contact page or call 07576 578751.
